Survey
A technique used in exploration to establish the presence of a potential ore body utilizing the following methods:-
Geophysical: searching for mineral deposits by use of electrical, gravity, heat flow, magnetic, seismic or thermal measurements.
Geochemical: the use of chemical analysis of rocks, soils, sediments, water and plants to identify chemical anomalies which may indicate an ore body.
Airborne: from an aircraft to identify anomalies in the ground that may reflect the presence of mineralization. Airborne surveys include photographic, geophysical, geological and magnetic surveys.
